Families as Allies’ Public Comments on Proposed Medicaid Policies

  • Post category:News
During the month of May, we shared information with you about revisions the Mississippi Division of Medicaid proposes to make to its policies about Mississippi Youth Programs Around the Clock (MYPAC) and to other community mental health services. Both policies are open for public comment through Friday, June 4.

We encourage you to read the policies and share your feedback with the Division of Medicaid, especially if your family has received MYPAC or any of the community mental health services.  You have unique and valuable insight into how these services can be most helpful to families.

Written comments should be sent to the Division of Medicaid, Office of the Governor, Office of Policy, Walter Sillers Building, Suite 1000, 550 High Street, Jackson, Mississippi 39201, or emailed to Margaret.Wilson@medicaid.ms.gov by June 4. Public comments will be published and available for review. If you do not want your name published with your comments, request that your comments be published anonymously when you send your comments in.

A public hearing on the MYPAC policy has been scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021, via teleconference. Teleconference number 888-822-7517, Access Code: 4282244. There will be an opportunity for public comment at the hearing. Anyone can attend the hearing. You can see who requested this hearing and read written comments from some of those individuals here.
