This month we are piloting some new family virtual support activities that we hope will be responsive to the current needs of families. On the first Thursday of every month at 12 noon, we’ll be hosting an hour we’re calling Drop-In Family Support Time, and then on the third Thursday, we’ll be piloting an hour called Bring Your IEP and Other School Questions.
So join us this Thursday, August 5th for Drop-In Family Support Time from noon to 1. This hour is open for any family member to drop in for all or some of the time to share any concerns or get feedback from others about handling different situations. And you can just drop in. Unlike our previous support meetings, there is no registration.
Then on Thursday, August 19th we will pilot the Bring Your IEP and Other School Questions hour from noon to 1. This hour is open for any family member to drop in for all or some of the time to ask questions or get feedback about IEP issues and other school situations. Just like the Drop-In Family Support Time hour, you can just click on this link anytime between 12-1 on Thursday to join the session on the 19th.
We are also in the process of planning a virtual Parent Café for the afternoon of August 31st and we should have more details for you about that in the next few weeks.
We welcome your feedback about these support hours and hope you’ll try them out this month. Let us know what you think: send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember: you don’t have to register for either of these support hours, you can just drop in!
As always, if you have a question, are looking for resources or just want to talk to another parent who has been in your shoes, you are also welcome to call us at 601-355-0915. We’ve got your back, we will stand by your side and we are always here for you.
