MCHS Mental Health Summit 2016

mchslogo.jpgWe are a co-sponsor of the third annual MCHS Mental Health Summit 2016, entitled Promoting Resilience in Children, will take next Friday, May 6th, from 7am to 4pm at the Hilton-Jackson. Please plan on stopping by our booth if you attend.

 

The 2016 summit will provide insight to professionals working with children on how to support children through trauma and teach resiliency. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from evidence based practices and real world solutions to help Mississippi?s children, youth and families thrive. Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant, David Chandler, Executive Director, Division of Family and Children?s Services, and Christine James-Brown, President/CEO of the Child Welfare League of America, will provide participant updates on current issues, priorities and measures being taken to address the growing needs for children and families in Mississippi. National Speaker Terry Morris will share how teachers, counselors and foster families used their influence to build resilience in his life. Breakout sessions will available to participants on varied topics addressing issues children and families face.
