Next Wednesday, June 23rd from 11 am to 1 pm, Jackson area residents are invited to “Get the Scoop on What the Hinds County MAP Team and NFusion Metro Has to Offer.” This will be a fun event where local residents can meet Hinds County MAP Team members and NFusion Metro staff and “get the scoop” from them on how they can support or help families. There’ll be an assortment of delicious ice cream available, so everyone can “get the scoop” twice!
The event will be held in the NFusion Metro Parking Lot, 1815 Hospital Drive, Jackson, MS.
Representatives from organizations on the Hinds County MAP Team as well as NFusion Metro staff will have information about what they do and will also provide fun activities for children at their tables.
The Hinds County MAP Team supports families whose children, ages birth to twenty-one (21) years, have serious emotional/behavioral disorders and/or are dually diagnosed with serious emotional/behavioral disorders and an intellectual disability or serious emotional disturbance and alcohol/drug use, and who require services from multiple agency providers and multiple service systems. The MAP Team works in partnership with families by bringing together the right kinds of services and supports so that children are less likely to need out-of-home placements such as at psychiatric facilities or juvenile detention.
