2020 Families as Allies Impact Report

  • Post category:News
Each year at our annual community partnership celebration we present an impact report that highlights what we’ve done throughout the year, and what we commit to do in the coming year. This year, executive director Joy Hogge presented the impact report virtually during last Monday night’s live-streamed event.

Our impact report describes our work in three areas: Supporting Families, Supporting Community and Supporting Positive Change.  Please take a few minutes to see highlights from each area.  We want to know what you think and how we can work together to build on these accomplishments.

All of our work flows from our core beliefs. We believe: families know their children better than anyone, families are their children’s strongest advocates and systems should follow laws and policies about families and children’s rights.  As you look through the impact report, we encourage you to reflect on how Families as Allies, all of you who partner with us and the Mississippi systems that serve children can demonstrate our commitment to these beliefs.

As we move into 2021, we at Families as Allies commit to: strengthening our training and technical assistance to professionals working with families, ensuring that, in partnership with other organizations, system-level reform includes people receiving services and their families and identifying and implementing ways to better support families in a wider array of systems.
