The National Federation of Families, Families as Allies’ much-loved national organization, posted the update below on its Facebook page earlier this week. Joy Hogge, executive director of Families as Allies and president of the Federation’s board, shared what the Federation means to her and ways to support it in this blog entry last week. We urge everyone to read both updates and the joint letter.
Friends, we wanted to let you know our National Family Support Technical Assistance Center (NFSTAC) will be sunsetting next Tuesday, September 30th. What an amazing opportunity this has been! While we wish that SAMHSA had continued this funding, please know that the National Federation of Families will continue to stand strong in our commitment to families whose children, of all ages, are navigating mental health and/or substance use challenges. This work, including our shared work—is not ending. It’s evolving.
Read more in the joint letter from Lynda Gargan, NFF Executive Director/ NFSTAC Principal Investigator, and Gail Cormier, NFSTAC Project Director from the September newsletter.
