Parent Cafés in Mississippi: Connecting Families

Families as Allies
Join Families as Allies for Parent Cafés, a welcoming and supportive opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships with others who understand the joys and challenges of raising a family.
Parent Cafés are structured, peer-led discussions designed to encourage open conversations, strengthen families, and create a community of support. Through group discussions and one-on-one conversations, participants can exchange ideas, learn from one another, and explore strategies for navigating everyday parenting challenges.
These conversations focus on five essential protective factors that help families thrive: parental resilience, positive social connections, knowledge of parenting and child development, concrete support in times of need, and children’s social and emotional development.
Session Details:
- Duration: 60–90 minutes per session
- Format: Individual sessions or a series of connected sessions
- Group Size: 5–10 participants
- Location: 840 East River Place, Suite 500, Jackson, MS 39202
