Are you eager to make the systems that serve our children better? Would you like to partner with policymakers to make sure that decisions about families and children are never made without their input? Do you want to be an effective leader? Then leadership training is for you!
This virtual training will take place on March 25 and 26 from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and is for parents, caregivers and staff members who are interested in learning to serve on decision-making groups and committees. It will be limited to the first 35 participants who register.
All are welcome, but we are encouraging Making a Plan (MAP) team members and parent peer support specialists in particular to attend. MAP teams are practical, real-world decision-making committees that can make a tremendous difference in the lives of families by partnering with them. This is an excellent opportunity for MAP Team members, including the parent peer support specialists that serve on them, to make their leadership skills even stronger.
Please note – training participants must attend both sessions for the entire session in order to receive their certificate. They also must be able to join the sessions from a device that has a camera and stay on camera throughout all sessions. Parents and caregivers who are not employed by an organization can receive a stipend for the training but must complete all course requirements in order to receive their stipends.
