This year Families as Allies was a proud sponsor of the DisABILITY MegaConference.  Our own Nikki Flippins' presentation on how families can be a partner in their children's care was well received.

We were also honored and excited that Joy Hogge, our executive director, was nominated for the Champion of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) award because of her tireless advocacy to insure that children with mental health challenges can live with their families in their homes and communities.  We congratulate Desmeon Thomas of LIFE of Mississippi for winning the award.

We'd also like to give a shout out and  huge THANK YOU to the students from Jackson Academy, Jackson Prep and St. Andrews who volunteered to be conference buddies!!
