SUMMARY:Mississippi Autism Advisory Committee
DESCRIPTION:The Mississippi Autism Advisory Committee \nThe Mississippi Autism Advisory Committee (MAAC) was created by House Bill 11252 (2011 Regular Session) as the Legislature recognized an urgent need for strategies on how to best identify\, treat\, educate\, accommodate and employ people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and assist their families. The MAAC is tasked with writing a report to the legislature outlining any roadblocks to creating meaningful progress in the areas of mental health\, education\, medical and employment for people with ASD and their families. \nMeeting Location:\nDepartment of Mental Health 239 N.
